Duties

  • Safely operate trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver freight to specified locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on trucks and equipment, including basic automotive repairs when necessary
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip
  • Coordinate with dispatchers to confirm schedules, routes, and delivery priorities
  • Assist with warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and organizing freight within storage facilities
  • Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during transit or loading/unloading processes

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
  • Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely (training provided if necessary)
  • Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to freight handling
  • Prior experience with freight handling or logistics operations is advantageous
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening as part of the hiring process
