Business Planning Analyst - Hybrid

This role will be reporting to the Supervisor, Business Planning and plays a key role in aligning sales forecasts with promotional strategies to support Canon Canada's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and interpreting sales and market data, identifying trends and opportunities, and deliver insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Preparing sales forecast, and price points with the internal sales tram to ensure that the company has sufficient inventory levels.
- Maintaining, and analyzing the procurement plan (forecast, sales plan, safety stock) and provide recommendations to maximize sales and improve accuracy.
- Generating reports for product categories for Canon Canada assigned product lines.
- Conducting market research and analyzing competitor pricing and positioning to inform procurement and sales strategies.
- Providing insights on customer behaviour, product performance, and market dynamics.
- Providing support to develop and maintain budget plans during key financial periods.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations.
To Succeed, You Will Need:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience
- Strong analytical skills to analyze forecasting, pricing, and competitive market data to offer solutions.
- Advanced computer skills to use Vkookups, Pivot Tables, and If statements in Excel
- Experience in SQL, Python, and Power BI
- Effective time management and multitasking skills to meet deadlines and submit forecasts to Canon Japan.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate across departments
- A detailed oriented and assertive approach to accountability
