Business Planning Analyst - Hybrid

This role will be reporting to the Supervisor, Business Planning and plays a key role in aligning sales forecasts with promotional strategies to support Canon Canada's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and interpreting sales and market data, identifying trends and opportunities, and deliver insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Preparing sales forecast, and price points with the internal sales tram to ensure that the company has sufficient inventory levels.
• Maintaining, and analyzing the procurement plan (forecast, sales plan, safety stock) and provide recommendations to maximize sales and improve accuracy.
• Generating reports for product categories for Canon Canada assigned product lines.
• Conducting market research and analyzing competitor pricing and positioning to inform procurement and sales strategies.
• Providing insights on customer behaviour, product performance, and market dynamics.
• Providing support to develop and maintain budget plans during key financial periods.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations.

To Succeed, You Will Need:

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience
• Strong analytical skills to analyze forecasting, pricing, and competitive market data to offer solutions.
• Advanced computer skills to use Vkookups, Pivot Tables, and If statements in Excel
• Experience in SQL, Python, and Power BI
• Effective time management and multitasking skills to meet deadlines and submit forecasts to Canon Japan.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate across departments
• A detailed oriented and assertive approach to accountability
