ROLE: Purchasing Specialist
REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager Production Planning & Replenishment
LOCATION: Burnaby, BC
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our supply chain team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on experience in purchasing, working with production planners, operations, supplier communications, and inventory coordination. The successful candidate will handle all purchasing activities that ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services essential to production.

You have a strong understanding of the end-to-end procurement processes

You demonstrated proficiency with various ERP systems and MS Office (including Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience
You have at least 5 years or relevant experience working in Procurement (preferably in a similar capacity within the Food & Beverage industry , Packaging /indirect categories )
Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field, mathematics, or related field preferred.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in inventory & warehouse management
Familiarity with production planning and scheduling

Support any task that relates to smooth and optimized production is planned on the lines
Support supply chain team for continuous supply of Raw Material & Packaging to facilitate smooth production while maintaining an optimal on-hand inventory
Work with the cross functional teams on day-to-day challenges and log them
Support any task related to ERP system
