Physical AI Robotics Specialist (Part-Time/Flexible)• Montreal, QCPart-Time• 10-15 hours/week • Competitive compensationAbout the RoleSmartOne (1,100+ annotators) is pivoting toward Physical AI—robotics, autonomous systems, and embodied AI. We need robotics expertise to build world-class annotation capabilities for humanoid robots, warehouse automation, autonomous vehicles, and drones.You'll develop annotation methodologies, train our teams on robotics fundamentals, and help establish SmartOne as a leader in Physical AI data services. This is a flexible, well-compensated role designed to work alongside PhD research or other commitments.What You'll DoDevelop annotation methodologies for Physical AI applications (manipulation, navigation, human-robot interaction, sensor fusion)Train annotation teams on robotics fundamentals and provide technical oversightBuild proof points through internal R&D and demonstration projectsWork with both French and English-speaking team membersWhat We're Looking ForRequired:Strong foundation in robotics (BS/MS minimum in Robotics, CS, or related)Understanding of kinematics, perception, manipulation, or navigationBilingual: Fluent French and EnglishBased in Montreal (occasional in-person meetings)Ability to explain complex concepts simply10-15 hours/week availability (flexible schedule)Nice to Have:PhD student or recent graduate in robotics/embodied AIExperience with computer vision, LiDAR, or 3D perceptionUnderstanding of ML model training pipelinesFamiliarity with annotation tools (Labelbox, CVAT, V7, etc.)Why This Might Interest YouFlexible schedule- Work when it works for you.
