Lead Robotic Automation Developer
to join our Information Technology team.
The Lead Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer is a hands-on technical expert responsible for designing, coding, and deploying automation solutions that reduce manual effort and increase efficiency. This individual will lead the design, development, deployment, and governance of automation solutions across the enterprise, leveraging the full RPA technology stack, including AI/ML services, cloud services, data integrations, and monitoring frameworks. The role combines technical leadership, program ownership, and mentorship, ensuring the company's RPA program is scalable, secure, and business-aligned.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions across business processes using Microsoft Power Automate and related tools.
- Establish, lead, and manage the enterprise automation framework, standards, and roadmap.
- Design, develop, test, maintain and deploy enterprise-grade automation solutions that integrate with core systems and infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize the RPA technology stack, including:
- Microsoft Power Automate (orchestration, studio, scheduler)
- Ultima IA Connect (runtime/bot agent, scripting & integrations)
- SecureCRT (terminal emulator)
- Azure Key Vault (credentials/security)
- Snowflake + Power BI (analytics/reporting/monitoring)
- Microsoft AI Services & Azure ML (OCR, AI/ML, computer vision)
- DBT (ETL transformation)
- Azure DevOps (versioning, CI/CD)
- PRTG (monitoring/alerting)
- Collaborate with business units to identify automation opportunities, document processes, and prioritize based on impact.
- Code, test, and debug automation workflows, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
- Coach and guide junior developers and analysts on automation practices.
- Monitor deployed automations, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements.
- Provide input to the long-term automation strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of overall development experience, with strong programming/scripting background (Python, PowerShell, SQL, .NET/C# or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- 2+ years in a lead or senior development role, demonstrating technical leadership and mentoring.
- 2+ years of hands-on RPA experience (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) delivering enterprise automation solutions.
- Proven ability to deliver automation solutions end-to-end (feasibility, design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring).
- Familiarity with AI/ML and OCR frameworks (Microsoft AI Services, Azure ML, Computer Vision).
- Knowledge of cloud services and DevOps (Azure DevOps, Key Vault, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience with monitoring/reporting tools (Power BI, PRTG).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Bilingualism (French/English) required for Quebec-based roles.
