Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project & Account Manager role will develop business opportunities with new and existing accounts to ensure profitable growth in sales revenue. This role will plan and execute multiple projects from receipt of Purchase Order through to completion & project closeout. The Project & Account Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, as well as achieving performance and efficiency levels for the team. The Project & Account Manager will be assigned a set of accounts to manage relationships and grow total revenue, and revenue per account. The candidate will be comfortable with sales and is accountable for following up and securing Purchase Orders from customers. The role is on site in the Burnaby office, and the preferred candidate will be well versed in using digital tools to stay hyper connected with customers, coworkers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
General Duties:

  • Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO's customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Supply
  • Maintain good working relationship with all customers, coworkers, and suppliers.
  • Read and comply with ECCO's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Read and comply with ECCO's Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist in the success of ECCO's Safety Program with suggestions, by setting a good example, and also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work and at all times.
  • Take training courses as offered by management and suppliers, constantly improving your abilities to succeed and to enhance your capacity to deliver for the customer.
  • Assist in the internal operations of the branch to ensure that Customer Service is properly maintained by getting back to customers in a timely matter and resolving any issues that arise. Participate in the annual inventory count
  • Enjoy meeting with contractors at their office or on work sites and be able to troubleshoot problems with equipment and systems.

Project & Account Manager

  • Promote and secure business from all aspects of the HVAC, and related industries, Identify and solicit potential clients, record all data in the appropriate fields for CRM to track progress. Assist and share in customer sales calls requiring assistance, including at site Assist in trade shows offered by ECCO, suppliers and / or customers.
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, work orders, and sketches for Quantity and pricing.
  • Plan project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and set deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate record of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted.
  • Attend weekly meetings with staff to discuss ideas, problems, and areas of opportunity to ensure a solution is met, and to coordinate the ongoing work and communication with customers.
  • Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal procedures, rewrite SOPs. Plan and develop strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or other related discipline.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a progressive Estimating or Project Management role
  • Previous experience in HVAC, manufacturing or related industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Must be willing to attend educational and seminars courses to supplement their existing professional experience and product knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational, and computer skills including estimating software.
