A Taleo client is in need of an Electrical Engineer to support a Team in maintaining metering standards, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and assisting with quality assurance and technical issues. The role also provides support for metering projects, regulatory reporting, and the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update metering standards and support compliance activities.
  • Assist with quality assurance processes and regulatory reporting.
  • Support technical review of metering installations, equipment, and new technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to AMI project activities, including testing, data validation, and equipment oversight.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in the utility or electrical industry.
  • P.Eng designation in good standing with APEGA.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, metering technologies, and related regulations.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication or radio frequency systems is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with metering or utility-related software (e.g., RMS, Maximo, Itron, Honeywell).
