THE FORAGER is more than a restaurant. We celebrate Newfoundland's foraging culture—rooted in survival and community—and are actively helping shape the future of Newfoundland cuisine. We are looking for team members, including our Pastry Chef, who are excited to be part of that mission.

We are seeking a highly creative, versatile Pastry Chef who loves to create and thrives in a collaborative, small-team environment. While pastry-focused, this role requires flexibility to support other kitchen areas as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods
  • Help shape the pastry identity of THE FORAGER
  • Develop seasonal items using local and foraged ingredients
  • Support other kitchen functions as required
  • Maintain food safety and quality standards

Requirements

  • Professional pastry experience (training an asset)
  • High creativity and passion for creating
  • Versatility and willingness to work across stations
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Genuine interest in foraging culture and Newfoundland cuisine

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$35.00 per hour
