Position: Cabinetry Drafting Technician

Schedule: 40 hours/week — Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (Fridays off)

Location: Montréal area

Compensation: $25.00 – $29.00 per hour, depending on experience

About the Role

We're a custom cabinetry company looking for a drafting technician with at least 5 years of CAD experience to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings based on architectural plans and client designs for high-end custom cabinetry and millwork projects.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, detailed drawings using CAD software
  • Interpret and translate architectural plans into manufacturing-ready drawings
  • Collaborate closely with designers, production teams, and installers
  • Review and verify measurements, joinery details, and materials
  • Communicate effectively to ensure design intent and project accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting (cabinetry, millwork, or architectural fields)
  • Strong proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
  • Bonus: knowledge of other design tools (SketchUp, 2020, Revit, Cabinet Vision, Fusion 360, etc.)
  • Excellent ability to read and understand architectural plans
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Description du poste

Nous recherchons un(e) technicien(ne) en dessin avec un minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en CAD, pour participer à la création de dessins techniques précis à partir de plans architecturaux et de concepts clients. Vous travaillerez sur des projets haut de gamme en ébénisterie et menuiserie sur mesure.

Responsabilités

  • Produire des dessins techniques détaillés à l'aide de logiciels CAD
  • Lire et interpréter les plans architecturaux pour la fabrication
  • Collaborer avec les designers, l'atelier et les installateurs
  • Vérifier les mesures, assemblages et spécifications de matériaux
  • Assurer une communication claire pour garantir la précision des projets

Exigences

  • Minimum 5 ans d'expérience en dessin technique (ébénisterie, menuiserie, architecture, etc.)
  • Excellente maîtrise des logiciels CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks ou équivalent)
  • Atout : connaissance d'autres logiciels de conception (SketchUp, 2020, Revit, Cabinet Vision, Fusion 360, etc.)
  • Forte capacité d'analyse et de compréhension des plans
  • Sens du détail et rigueur exemplaire
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication et travail d'équipe
