Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Installation Technician to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various installation and construction disciplines, including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and the use of hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects such as cabinetry, flooring, roofing, siding, and concrete forming, requiring a versatile skill set and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. The Installation Technician will play a vital role in ensuring that all installations meet safety standards, specifications, and client expectations.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute installation projects.
- Install cabinetry, flooring, tile, siding, roofing, and other building components with precision.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and drywall or plastering as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other equipment to complete installations efficiently.
- Conduct plumbing and electrical installations or repairs in accordance with industry standards.
- Assist in construction painting, caulking, heavy lifting, and general site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment.
- Measure spaces accurately for proper fitment of materials; perform construction estimating tasks when required.
- Follow schematics and technical instructions to ensure proper assembly and installation of components.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related fields such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, siding, or general maintenance person work.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, rebar installation, tile laying, flooring installation, drywall finishing, and cabinetry installation is preferred.
- Experience operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and plumbing is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various construction environments.
