What you'll do: Reporting to the Grocery Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for coordinating the sales staff in the grocery store; including handling administrative and support functions with all team members; 

  • Be responsible for engaging team members to ensure guest services standards are consistent in the store;

  • Be responsible for providing guidance, complying with company policies, and delegating tasks to team members; 

  • Be knowledgeable with products and their sources;

  • Be proactive in maintaining location image;

  • Be expected to deliver excellent customer service and drive customer loyalty;

  • Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude;

  • Provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet their needs;

  • Stock and rotate products on display;

  • Be familiar with and adhere to Meadow Lake Co-op policies and procedures;

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • You have a grade 12 education.
  • You have minimum of 1-year experience.
  • You're familiar with working in the retail\grocery industry will be considered an asset. 
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives. 
  • You have strong work ethic and team player attitude.
  • You have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced-environment.
