About the Role

Reps Custom Machining and Fabrication is seeking a skilled
Welder/Fitter
to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding, fitting, and assembling metal components to precise specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety, and on-time project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications
  • Fit, fabricate, and weld metal components and assemblies according to drawings
  • Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, and stick welders
  • Utilize power tools and fabrication equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, and presses
  • Measure, align, and inspect parts using calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools
  • Assemble ductwork, frames, and other metal structures per project requirements
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools
  • Rig and handle materials safely during fabrication and welding operations
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to resolve fit-up or fabrication issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety procedures

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience as a Welder/Fitter or in a similar fabrication role
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills
  • Proficiency using power tools and shop equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
