We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to interpret schematics to ensure high-quality fabrication and assembly of components.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and welding requirements.
- Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, to fabricate metal components.
- Utilize power tools and machinery such as press brake machines for shaping and forming materials.
- Assemble ductwork and other metal structures according to project specifications.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in measurements and fitment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Rig materials as needed for safe handling during the welding process.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques and processes.
- Experience using power tools, including but not limited to grinders, drills, and saws.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
