Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. The Journeyperson Plumber will ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes, contributing to the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute precise installations
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely and effectively
  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper assembly and integration of plumbing components
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions
  • Assist in the assembly of plumbing components using carpentry skills when necessary
  • Adhere to safety protocols related to HVAC systems, schematics, and general construction practices
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed for project documentation

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyperson Plumber certification or license
  • Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or industrial settings
  • Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques
  • Knowledge of construction practices related to carpentry and assembly processes
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to measurements and material estimates
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions for extended periods
  • Commitment to safety standards and building codes at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
