Learning Facilitator

The Learning Facilitator is a health care professional who creates a dynamic learning environment at HHS and drives excellence in patient care delivery in accordance with best practice guidelines, clinical standards of care and accreditation standards. The Facilitator will apply the HHS Interprofessional Development Model in developing, coordinating and evaluating education programs using leading-edge approaches to education and knowledge translation as well as innovation, technology, research and quality improvement tools. The Learning Facilitator will work collaboratively with the Director of Interprofessional Development and the IEN Integration Program Team to achieve HHS strategic priorities.
Scheduled Hours:
Monday to Friday days, available evenings and weekends as needed.
This position is temporary until March 2027.
Qualifications - External
1. Regulated health care professional in good standing with a health regulatory body in Ontario, with the associated academic preparation for the discipline (minimally a baccalaureate degree in the discipline). Master's degree in education or related specialty is preferred. Faculty appointment with a university or college is an asset.
2. Minimum of 5 years recent healthcare experience; clinical experience adult med/surg and critical care preferred
3. Demonstrated facilitation skills for team development and practice coaching.
4. Demonstrated leadership skills, including project management, problem solving, critical thinking, conflict resolution and negotiation.
5. Demonstrated expertise in quality improvement and change management methodology.
6. Excellent command of adult learning principles and group process dynamics.
7. Demonstrated use of educational technology including computer systems and presentation software.
8. Demonstrated skill in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation. Experience in simulation-based education preferred
