Training Facilitator

The Safety and Ergonomics Department, within the broader Health and Safety Department, is responsible to promote, maintain and actively improve workplace safety through the identification, assessment and control of hazards in the workplace; to mitigate the risk of identified hazards and ultimately prevent work-related injury and illness; to respond with appropriate protocol to an incident and/or injury to minimize frequency and severity, prevent recurrence and communicate to all stakeholders.
This role will deliver required workplace health & safety training for the entire organization. Training will be delivered to all levels of staff. The training process may include\: assessing training deliverables, supporting the implementation of training, delivering hands on physical training, and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum.
As a part of the Occupational Health & Safety Team, this role will work closely with colleagues and managers to determine requirements throughout the training process and will be committed to continuous learning and development.
Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills, experience delivering in-person and virtual instructor-led health & safety training, proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Training/Adult Learning
Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices, relevant legislation
Community College in health care related field
1 year experience in OHS
2 years training experience
Monday - Friday (Days); Occasional evening or weekend may be required.
This role is temporary until October 2027.
