· Community College – Health Care Related Field

· Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills, experience delivering in-person and virtual instructor-led training in a non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence prevention program, proficient in Microsoft Office applications

· Bookkeeping/Expense Management

· Three or more years of experience in Training/Adult Learning

· One year or more experience with OHS

· Ability to maintain accurate and up to date records

· Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices, relevant legislation.

This role will facilitate and help deliver required workplace health & safety training identified for the entire organization. Training will be delivered to all levels of staff.  The training process may include\: assessing training deliverables, defining learning objectives, supporting the implementation of training, delivering hands on physical training, and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum. This role will also evaluate the current material to design recertification training for all levels of training.

As a part of the Health & Safety Team, this role will work closely with colleagues and managers to determine requirements throughout the training process and will be committed to continuous learning and development.  This role will act as a senior resource to the other Training Facilitators on the team.  It will guide new initiatives, oversee day to day tasks and activities of the team and assign specific tasks to individual team members. The Lead facilitator will create the schedule and manage ongoing training projects for the Workplace Violence Prevention Program.

The Safety and Ergonomics Department, within the broader Health & Safety Department, is responsible to promote, maintain and actively improve workplace safety through the identification, assessment and control of hazards in the workplace; to mitigate the risk of identified hazards and ultimately prevent work-related injury and illness; to respond with appropriate protocol to an incident and/or injury to minimize frequency and severity, prevent recurrence and communicate to all stakeholders.
