The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring optimal sales performance and adherence to Peaked Pies policies and standards. They oversee the day-to-day activities of all staff and foster a positive team environment. The Shift Supervisor is anticipating busy periods and proactively preparing their shift to ensure seamless operations.We have built a reputation for not only our pies, but our amazing service. You will love working here if you enjoy the art of coffee making, eating delicious pies and leading an energetic team.Requirements:~ Must enjoy chatting with customers~ Have a friendly smile and engaging attitude~ Thrive in a fast paced environment >>>~ Takes care and pride in yourself and your work~ Previous experience in leading a team is essential and an assetMain Responsibilities:- To drive sales growth and support the Restaurant Manager in achieving store targets for sales, labour costs and food costs.- Uphold and enforce Peaked Pies' policies and standards to maintain a consistent customer experience- Delegate duties to ensure efficiency and productivity- Effectively manage challenging conversations with employees and customers in a professional and respectful manner.How can you make a difference and excel in this position?- Acknowledge that excellence in customer service requires a comprehensive approach that considers every aspect of the customer experience; from the store's appearance to the interactions customers have with staff.- Be a good leader; inspire others by setting a positive example and providing feedback that helps others grow- Promote a culture of respect through fair but firm leadership, offering support while encouraging increased effort when necessary- Be a good communicator and trainer; tell a story and always offer the "why"Example of daily duties:· Multitasking when busy; putting together orders while communicating with other team members of any issues, baking pies, making toppings, addressing out of stock items.· Bussing the restaurant, especially during busy times to ensure customers always have a place to sit and enjoy their meal· Constant inventory control of pies and toppings to ensure stocks are adequate for the time of day; including completing the Sell Out List in the afternoon to prevent an overstock in the frozen pie inventory· Baking more pies if necessary, and cooking mashed potato, mushy peas and gravy, or asking the kitchen staff to make if customers need to be served.· Washing up dishes throughout the day, keeping the store clean and tidy including outdoor patio area· Restocking all Front Of House items as needed, making note of any items out of stock.· Ensuring the pie display case is neat, tidy and presentable. Pies should be presented in a neat row with display labels facing the front or removed from view if sold out.· Ensuring dessert display case is full, neat and tidy.· Flexibility to work both mornings and evenings. People Management. Food safe/Health and Safety Management. OperationsManagement Wage: $19 per hour plus gratuitiesBenefits:~FREE LUNCH (or breakfast/dinner)~ 50% discount on days off including our Burnaby Heights and Whistler storesThis is a full time position (32-40hrs).
