About the Role

CaptivateIQ's Professional Services team builds the solutions that connect incentive compensation data to customers' accounting systems.

We're looking for a Professional Services Consultant, Accounting & Reporting to support the design, build, and delivery of compliant, audit-ready financial reporting models for our enterprise clients.

This is a hands-on role where you'll apply your accounting knowledge and analytical skills to real-world system implementations. You'll work closely with senior architects to ensure every customer's reporting layer meets both business needs and compliance standards like ASC 340, ASC 606, and IFRS 15.

Responsibilities
  • Configure, test, and validate financial reporting outputs across customer implementations.
  • Translate accounting and compliance requirements into accurate, maintainable reporting logic
  • Support senior consultants and architects in designing scalable, audit-ready models.
  • Perform data analysis and reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Partner with customer Finance and Accounting teams to confirm outputs align with compliance expectations.
  • Document reporting logic, testing results, and key assumptions for audit support and internal QA.
  • Contribute to internal best practices, templates, and enablement documentation.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial modeling, reporting, or compensation accounting, ideally within a SaaS, finance, or systems environment.
  • CPA and strong understanding of core accounting principles with working knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to sales compensation or revenue recognition.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis, validation, and report building.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
Nice to Have
  •  MBA, or equivalent accounting/finance education.
  • Experience with ICM/SPM platforms (CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Varicent, SAP Commissions, Anaplan).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, or other financial systems.
  • Exposure to SQL or scripting for data validation and analysis.
  • Consulting or SaaS implementation experience.

$115,000 - $142,000 a year The OTE range in USD represents the minimum and maximum for this position across North America. The OTE offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our OTE is just one component of CaptivateIQ's competitive total rewards package.
