We're looking for a business-minded, people-focused leader to guide our busy lumber yard and warehouse team. As Yard Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the continued growth and success of one of Kamloops' most trusted family-owned retailers — balancing hands-on operational leadership with a strategic mindset that drives performance, safety, and service excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily yard and warehouse operations with efficiency, accuracy, and safety top of mind
  • Motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing team through clear communication and consistent coaching
  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee inventory systems, stock control, and equipment management
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, and HR to align performance with company goals
  • Track and interpret KPIs, turning data into actionable insights
  • Identify opportunities to modernize processes, improve workflow, and enhance the customer experience

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership in warehouse, logistics, or building-materials operations preferred.
  • Proven ability to balance people leadership with operational and financial management
  • Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
  • Comfort working hands-on and leading by example in a dynamic, outdoor environment
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, budgeting, and performance metrics
