Part-time Market Research & Admin Assistant (Flexible, Remote, 5–10 hrs/week, $30/hr)

Hi This is a casual, part-time role that's perfect for a college or university student looking to pick up a few extra hours each week. The work is mostly online market research and light admin support, and most tasks are not time-sensitive as long as they get done by the agreed-upon deadline. The position pays $30 per hour.

What you'll be doing

  • Online market research, pulling together simple notes or spreadsheets with what you find.
  • Looking up construction, infrastructure and related companies or projects in Western Canada and organizing basic details in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Light admin support such as cleaning up lists, basic data entry, and organizing information so it's easy to work with.
  • Using AI tools to speed up research, draft simple summaries, and help organize information.

What you should bring

  • Comfortable with computers, web searching, and learning new tools.
  • Some experience with Excel or Google Sheets (nothing advanced, just enough to work with lists, filters, and basic formulas).
  • Curiosity, reliability, and the ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Some familiarity with AI tools for search, but you do not need to be an expert.

Hours, location and flexibility

  • 5–10 hours per week, flexible schedule; you can generally choose when you work as long as tasks are done by the agreed time.
  • Most of the work is fully remote.
  • Occasional in-person check-ins somewhere convenient in Metro Vancouver, but travel to North Vancouver is not required as meetings can be near where you live.
  • This is a casual, informal role that can fit around classes or another part-time job.
