is seeking a motivated
Desktop Support & Purchasing Analyst
to be a key player in our Information Systems team at our
South Edmonton Corporate Head Office
This role will provide technical support for workplace technology with the procurement and management of Information Systems assets, ensuring efficient operations and an enhanced user experience. Resolving IT issues, coordinating with vendors, and optimizing the lifecycle of hardware and software.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for systems, applications, devices, and equipment, managing Desktop Support and Purchasing Incident queues.
  • Maintain accurate hardware inventories, process off-lease equipment returns/replacements, and ensure fiscal responsibility by sourcing and quoting competitive pricing.
  • Log and track support requests, including incidents outside ITSM, while updating tickets with detailed resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, office equipment, and system issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
  • Manage vendor bill review, equipment purchasing, and lifecycle standards to support business needs.
  • Participate in hardware/software deployment projects, Knowledge Base updates, and compliance with policies.
  • Travel for projects and occasional on-call work may be required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Diploma in related technology combined with 3 years of Desktop Support experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Preferred experience with contract, asset, and document management
  • Knowledge of current hardware, software, and networking systems, sufficient for assisting resolution.
  • Knowledge of the installation and use of current desktop business applications.
  • Knowledge of computer networking and the configuration, administration, and operation of business printers.
  • Computer and technology troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication ability, and organizational skills are essential
