Duties / Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain large format printer, plotter, laminator and other sign fabricating equipment and tools; Able to lift moderately heavy items in the shop.
  • Able to weed and premask vinyl
  • Able to apply vinyl on rigid substrates
  • Able to cut substrates
  • Graphic design and layout design to meet customer needs and production requirement;
  • Design and create all type of signs, assist in sign installation which may involve travelling to client's site.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Sales, provide product information to other departments and customers;
  • Assist maintaining and updating website and social media.

Qualification:

  • Degree or diploma in Graphic/Arts or related field;
  • Minimal 2+ years of demonstrated interactive design/art/production experience;
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop ; Rasterlink
  • Exceptional knowledge of design principles related to typography, color theory, fonts selection and composition;
  • Excellent communication skills, effectively present ideas both verbally and visually and to write clearly;
  • Self-motivated with hands-on approach, team player, fast leaner;
  • Well organized, able to work on multiple projects concurrently and finish jobs in schedule.

Experience in a full-service sign shop and sign installation is an asset as well as experience in the following machines:

Mimaki wide format printers – UV and Eco-Solvent

Graphtec Plotter

GFP Heat Laminator

AEON Mira laser cutter/engraver
