Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Junior Service Advisor to join our team. As a Junior Service Advisor, you will act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. You will be responsible for managing customer concerns, coordinating service appointments, recommending necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance, and providing exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction. Ideally we are looking for someone who has some experience in the Automotive industry already and looking to leverage their skills in an advisor role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, identify their service needs, and explain service options and costs.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule service appointments and manage customer expectations for service times, ensuring efficiency and minimizing wait times.
  • Service Estimates: Provide accurate cost estimates for repairs and maintenance services based on vehicle diagnostics and customer requests.
  • Work Order Creation: Generate work orders, ensuring all necessary information is captured for service technicians and clear communication throughout the process.
  • Problem-Solving: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with patience and professionalism, working to resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Up-Selling & Cross-Selling: Recommend and upsell additional services or products that may be beneficial for the customer's vehicle.
  • Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Knowledge: Stay informed about vehicle models, maintenance schedules, and the latest technologies to provide accurate and reliable recommendations.
  • Follow-Up: Communicate service progress with customers, ensuring they are updated on any changes or delays.
  • Documentation & Records: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and payments in the dealership's management system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with service technicians, parts department, and service management to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
  • Lot Organization/Vehicle Check Ins: Work with our Service Lot Porter and Senior Service Advisors to keep the lot organized, check in new service vehicles, and ensure vehicles are ready at the promised times.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in an automotive service advisor or customer service role is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers.
  • Customer Focused: Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine desire to help customers and resolve issues.
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and appointments efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with dealership service software and basic computer skills is a plus.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with colleagues in different departments.
