The pay range for the co-op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role.
Loblaw has adopted the following hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues can work remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).
Role Mandate:
Under the leadership of Director, Business & Consumer Insights, this role provides analytical support by you extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data from our large datasets to glean insights which will improve customer engagement, drive sales and aid in making strategic decisions. The Market Analytics Co-op will help stakeholders better understand consumer and business trends. We're looking for a team player who is passionate about answering difficult business problems and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get deep into the data. Our ideal candidate loves to constantly be digging into the 'why' and provide solutions to business challenges.
What You'll Do:
- Engage with stakeholders, gathering business requirements and presenting back insights and recommendations
- Support teams by collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, such as: point of sale (financial and transactional), PC Optimum loyalty program, customer surveys and market share by ensuring data accuracy, drawing insights and providing actionable recommendations
- Report on key strategic initiatives on a weekly and monthly basis. As well as provide data visualizations: Build dashboards, reports, and Power Point presentations
- Collaborate closely with data experts to build and extract appropriate and accurate data sets to support analyses
What You'll Need:
- Proven programming experience in SQL, as well as Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to convert data to insight, insight to recommendations and recommendations into an action plan
- Detail-oriented and strong time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of working within a demanding schedule
- Independent problem solving.
- Ability to think critically.
- Experience in Retail and or Loyalty is an asset
