Azure Solutions Architect - AI (LATAM, Remote)

Our Client, an enthusiastic Microsoft partner, is seeking an experienced Azure AI Solutions Architect to lead client discovery, architect modern cloud-native and AI-enabled applications, and guide pre-sales through delivery readiness.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with sales, data, and DevOps teams to design integrated, scalable, and secure solutions aligned with Microsoft best practices across App Modernization and AI workloads.

It's a long-term contract opportunity without an end date. The engagement is fully remote. The candidate can be located anywhere in LatAm. You'll need to have good English communication skills (at least B2+ or higher) for this role.

Responsibilities

Lead client discovery sessions to define technical and business requirements.

Serve as a pre-sales architect, collaborating with the sales team to assess client AI/ML environments, design target Azure AI architectures (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure ML, Fabric), estimate efforts, and prepare migration plans.

Architect and design modern applications using Azure services such as App Service, AKS, Azure Functions, and API Management.

Develop AI-ready application architectures leveraging Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and Machine Learning.

Lead pre-sales technical validation, cost estimation, and SOW development.

Create solution blueprints and ensure alignment with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and funding programs.

Lead as a solution architect, partnering with project managers, MLOps/DevOps engineers, and client teams to deliver AI projects that meet technical specifications, security standards, and client expectations.

Collaborate with data and DevOps teams to build integrated, scalable, and secure solutions.

Foster innovative problem-solving, troubleshoot complex AI/ML issues, and provide ongoing training on Responsible AI practices.

Act as a customer advocate by deeply understanding client goals, proposing practical AI options, and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.

Support the technical development of team members through continuous guidance and leadership.

Partner with delivery teams to oversee hand-off and ensure delivery readiness.

Requirements (Experience & Technical Knowledge)

7+ years of experience in solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or enterprise application design.

Minimum 7 years of experience implementing technical solutions, designing architecture, and evaluating cloud environments.

Some hands-on experience with projects related to architecting, developing, and deploying AI/ML or data-intensive solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Proven experience architecting Azure-native applications using microservices, containers, and event-driven patterns.

Strong understanding of AI integration, including Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure ML, and data pipelines for AI/ML models.

Experience modernizing legacy applications into cloud-native architectures (App Modernization, API-led integration, or low-code extensions).

Working knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, IaC, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Familiarity with front-end and back-end frameworks (.NET Core, Python, , React, etc.).

Deep understanding of Azure security, governance, and scalability best practices.

Deep understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Well-Architected Framework, and Responsible AI guidelines.

Ability to operate effectively with incomplete or evolving requirements.

Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.

Strong client-facing experience and excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.

Nice-to-have

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.

Microsoft Certifications: DP-100, AI-102, AZ-305.

Other relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS ML Specialty, Google Professional Cloud Architect).

Experience developing reusable AI migration tools, MLOps pipelines, or automation scripts (Terraform/Bicep).
