The Senior Director of Energy Delivery provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the transmission and distribution (T&D) systems that deliver electricity to customers. This role provides senior leadership to the Regional Operations, Energy Delivery Services and Reliability teams by ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of energy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with corporate goals for sustainability and resiliency. 

Key elements of this role include:
  • Implement rigorous safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture throughout all Energy Delivery teams. 
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and performance standards for the transmission and distribution system.  
  • Develop and execute long-term plans for energy delivery infrastructure.  
  • Maintain strong relationships with government, regulatory agencies, and industry bodies. 
  • Ensure system reliability and minimize outages through proactive asset management and urgent outage response times. 
  • Accountable for leading within a unionized environment while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with union leadership to support a respectful and productive workplace.  
  • Manage maintenance and operation of T&D systems and substations.  
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for system reliability and emergency response. 
  • Drive adoption of smart grid technologies and renewable integration.  
  • Foster a customer focused culture of innovation and continuous improvement to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency. 
  • Oversee budgets for operations, maintenance, and capital investments in all Energy Delivery teams.  
  • Collaborate with senior leaders of internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.

  • ​​Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field. 
  • ​15+ years progressive experience in energy utility operations, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role.  
  • ​Proven track record managing large scale transmission & distribution systems.​ 
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with collaborative and approachable management style. 
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks. 
  • Strategic thinker, with solid decision-making capabilities. 
  • Committed to safety and quality.
