Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining store profitability through effective merchandising, sales strategies, and administrative oversight. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to foster a welcoming environment for diverse customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to achieve operational excellence.
• Oversee daily store operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, merchandising, pricing, and inventory management.
• Manage payroll processing and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate marketing efforts to promote store products and services effectively.
• Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive shopping experience.
• Manage purchasing decisions to optimize inventory levels and product assortment.
• Organize staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours while managing time efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or store supervision with strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, sales management, and marketing strategies.
• Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and pricing strategies.
• Ability to recruit, train, and develop team members through effective coaching and mentoring.
• Familiarity with budgeting, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control processes.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach.
