Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our digital marketing team. This role is essential in developing and executing engaging social media strategies across various platforms to enhance brand awareness, drive traffics. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to delegate tasks to 3rd parties in graphic design, SEO, and digital marketing tools. Will be trained on SEMrush to target audiences. This position offers flexibility and grow for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram.
  • Create visually appealing graphics and content using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) to support brand messaging.
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize content for SEO to increase organic reach and engagement.
  • Manage social media scheduling and posting using tools like Hootsuite and Buffer to ensure consistent online presence.
  • Monitor analytics using Google Analytics and platform insights to assess campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall digital marketing objectives, including email campaigns and website content.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, and reviews promptly to foster community interaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and best practices in social media marketing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in digital marketing with a focus on social media management.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow trends.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools.
  • Experience with Facebook Advertising and other paid social media campaigns is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data using Google Analytics to measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Excellent proofreading skills for creating clear, engaging content.
  • Understanding of e-commerce platforms and strategies for driving online sales through social media channels.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for campaigns.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role is ideal for a motivated individual passionate about digital marketing trends who wants to make a meaningful impact through creative social media strategies while continuously developing their skills in a collaborative environment.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance, Internship / Co-op

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $25.00-$26.55 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edmonton, AB
