Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and enforce internal control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing timely and accurate financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Coordinate audits and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Supervise and direct accounting staff, providing leadership and development.
- Evaluate and improve accounting systems, practices, and processes.
- Support strategic planning and provide financial insights to senior management.
- Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risk.
- Prepare financial reports for board meetings and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,721.68-$77,045.08 per year
