Overview

CanGOLF - Canmore's Ultimate Entertainment & Events Venue is seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager with 3-5 years experience in the Bow Valley to take our hospitality operation to the next level

This important role requires a passionate & experienced leader with a deep understanding of hospitality industry, service management, golf simulators, events & catering plus restaurant team leadership. As the driving force behind daily activities, you will oversee all aspects of the businesses performance, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, operational excellence, and staff development. Your enthusiasm and management expertise will inspire your team to deliver top-tier service in a fast-paced environment. This well-paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the success of a vibrant dining establishment while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Duties

  • Lead and manage all operations, product and service delivery plus all staff.
  • Oversee inventory control, day to day business standards, and company targets
  • Manage POS systems such as Square POS and 7Shifts for order processing, sales tracking, and reporting
  • Manage department Leaders, ensuring quality production and timely service in all types of service settings
  • Train, develop, and motivate staff through effective onboarding, ongoing training & development programs, and performance evaluations
  • Handle budgeting responsibilities including cost control, labor management, and financial reporting
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining high standards of hospitality

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hospitality management or restaurant/events management with supervising responsibilities
  • Familiarity with POS systems like Square POS & 7 Shifts plus cash handling experience required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams within fast-paced or casual dining environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to oversee shift management and kitchen operations effectively
  • Experience in inventory control, food safety compliance, and budgeting within the food industry
  • Excellent communication skills for interviewing staff, training teams, and engaging with customers
  • Background in hospitality management or hotel experience is a plus but not required
