Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal on various properties during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and mechanical operations, as well as the ability to work in challenging weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snow plow equipment to clear snow from roads, parking lots, and walkways.
  • Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including checks on mechanical systems and hand tools.
  • Utilize power tools and machinery effectively to ensure optimal performance during snow removal operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts and maintain safety protocols.
  • Assist with landscape maintenance tasks as needed, including gardening and irrigation work during off-season periods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery, particularly excavators or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues with snow plow equipment.
  • Familiarity with horticulture and landscape maintenance practices is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with hand tools and power tools in various conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
