Job Summary

Metro Infrastructure Inc is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 310S or 310T Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position will fulfill a current opening to enhance the mechanical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and problem-solving skills are highly valued. The Mechanic will play a crucial part in minimizing downtime and ensuring safety standards are met across our fleet operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, gears, motors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as needed.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Skills

  • Valid Ontario 310S or 310T License
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery safely.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Nice-to-have: Certification or training in HVAC, welding, or specialized machinery repair. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations, requiring a dedicated professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
