About Us

Roberts Street Pizza is a fast-paced, community-loved pizza shop that's been serving handmade pizzas with fresh, quality ingredients since 1997. As we approach our 30th anniversary, we continue to take pride in great food, friendly service, and a strong sense of community.

Our company is growing. Alongside Roberts Street Pizza in Ladysmith, we also operate Little Town Pizza in Chemainus and Lake Cowichan, and we'll soon be launching Yellow House Food Co. in Chemainus, offering frozen pizzas, frozen meals, and smash burgers.

We're looking for a motivated, reliable individual who's eager to learn, take on responsibility, and grow into a leadership or supervisory role as part of our expanding team. There is definitely room to grow within our company.

Position Overview

We're hiring a Pizza Cook / Team Member who can stay calm under pressure, communicate well, and take pride in every pizza that leaves the oven. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and interested in learning all aspects of the restaurant from pizza making to supplier orders and closing procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Make pizzas to order with consistency, speed, and accuracy
  • Operate the oven and ensure pizzas meet our high-quality standards
  • Answer phones and assist customers with friendly, professional service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
  • Learn and assist with supplier orders, closing, and prep shifts
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support teammates and maintain a positive, fast-paced environment
  • Work toward taking on supervisory responsibilities with training and experience

We can offer up to 5 days per week for the right individual.

What We're Looking For

  • Open availability and able to work both early and closing shifts
  • Calm, dependable, and efficient under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
  • 1 year of kitchen experience preferred (pizza or line cook experience an asset)
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Driver's license and vehicle preferred. Preference will be given to those who can train with a few shifts at each of our three stores in Ladysmith, Chemainus, and Lake Cowichan to meet the teams and learn how each location operates
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of the restaurant from supplier orders to prep and leadership

  • A team player who wants to see both themselves and the company grow

  • Starting at $18.50/hr (depending on experience)
