About the Role

We're looking for a creative and proactive Content & Community Specialist to create and publish engaging social media and marketing content for some of the most iconic kids' and family brands. This role combines hands-on content creation with community management and marketing coordination, ensuring our social presence is vibrant, consistent, and aligned with franchise objectives.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll coordinate social calendars, create social and marketing content, and collaborate with internal teams and external creators across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Giphy, and brand websites.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, edit and publish high-quality video and image content for social and marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Write platform-optimized copy that reflects brand tone and resonates with audiences.
  • Coordinate and maintain social calendars, ensuring timely and consistent publishing.
  • Monitor and engage with communities across social platforms, responding in brand voice to foster fandom and escalating sensitive issues when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and external creators/influencers to deliver best-in-class content.
  • Support creator commissions, influencer partnerships and gifting programs under guidance from the Marketing Manager and Franchise team.
  • Ensure all content meets brand standards, tone of voice, and legal compliance requirements.
  • Stay ahead of social trends, recommending innovative formats and ideas to the Marketing Manager.
  • Maintain organized workflows across projects, timelines, and asset delivery to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ad hoc filming and photography at shoots and live events, confidently directing talent and managing logistics and creative direction.

Qualifications

What you will bring

  • Proficiency in design and editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva, CapCut).
  • Strong video editing skills and ability to produce mobile-first content.
  • Confidence filming content including with talent and at live events.
  • Experience managing social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Giphy).
  • Knowledge of current social trends and best practices for engagement.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with adaptable tone of voice.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
  • Comfort owning small productions end-to-end, from shot lists to delivery.
  • Passion for kids' and family entertainment and digital storytelling.

Total Rewards

At WildBrain, we strive for equitable and consistent pay practices within a robust total rewards framework. Compensation may vary within the same role based on experience, performance, specialized expertise, and overall impact.

Compensation: $57,000 - $65,000 CAD. Base salary is part of a comprehensive total rewards package that includes:
