In this role, you will be responsible for managing, designing, and publishing internal content across enterprise SharePoint platforms, ensuring accessibility standards (WCAG/AODA) are fully implemented. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence the effectiveness of internal communications, improve user experience, and enhance accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • SharePoint Content Management:

  • Publish internal communications, announcements, newsletters, policies, and HR or IT-related updates.
  • Implement metadata, site navigation, and permissions to optimize usability.
  • Accessibility & Compliance:
  • Ensure all content meets WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) standards.
  • Audit content for accessibility gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Provide guidance and training to content contributors on accessible content creation.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Work closely with HR, IT, Compliance, and business units to gather content requirements and approvals.
  • Translate business needs into clear, accessible SharePoint content.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SharePoint best practices and accessibility standards.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline content publishing processes.
  • Implement SharePoint features and enhancements to improve content discoverability and usability.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging SharePoint functionalities, accessibility standards, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of hands-on SharePoint experience, including publishing content in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience in banking, financial services, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 guidelines and AODA requirements.
  • Experience designing accessible content for diverse employee populations.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality, compliant output.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, or Teams-integrated sites.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or basic web design principles.
  • Familiarity with content migration projects or site redesign initiatives.
  • Experience with enterprise internal communications strategies.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Be part of a highly visible internal communications function that touches thousands of employees.
  • Work for a leading financial organization that values innovation, inclusion, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate across multiple departments, gaining exposure to enterprise processes, technology, and compliance standards.
  • Opportunities for professional development and expanding your SharePoint and accessibility expertise.
