Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will provide for the comfort of guests by ensuring the cabins and public areas are maintained to a high standard and presented in a professional manner. The Maintenance Supervisor promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests.  

In addition to this, the Maintenance Supervisor will assist in leading a dedicated team of maintenance staff, take the lead in maintaining the pool facility, assist with training programs and managing inventory. Exceptional communication, awareness of safety protocols, organizational skills, and a well rounded knowledge of all things maintenance are essential in this role. This position is year-round and full-time. Compensation includes a bonus upon contract completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the outdoor areas at the resort performing tasks such as sweeping, blow-packing, replenishing garbages, cleaning the barbecues, picking up garbage around the property, etc.

  • Maintain the gardens performing activities such as mowing lawns, picking up debris, raking, weeding, trimming bushes, watering plants, aerating gardens, etc.

  • Experience with basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs that do not require a trades ticket. 

  • Performing a variety of activities in the cabins such as drywall repairs, painting, wood repairs and hardware replacements.

  • Experience with tools and power tools.

  • Be responsible and able to follow all safety protocols of the resort, and ensure that these protocols are being followed by each member of the team at all times.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be physically fit and able to lift moderately heavy items, along with movements such as bending, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs when required.
