About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Controller / Food Safety & Compliance professional to support our food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality systems in Canada. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CFIA regulations, SFCR, PCP, and HACCP, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing/import environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with CFIA, SFCR, and applicable Canadian food regulations
  • Maintain and update Preventive Control Plans (PCP) and food safety documentation
  • Support and manage CFIA inspections, audits, and corrective actions
  • Review labels, product specifications, and regulatory documentation for compliance
  • Manage deviations, complaints, recalls, and CAPA processes
  • Conduct internal audits and food safety training
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory Compliance
  • Strong working knowledge of CFIA / SFCR / HACCP
  • Experience in food manufacturing, import, or distribution environment
  • Exposure to GFSI standards (BRC, SQF, FSSC is an asset
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred
