Job Description
FYihealth group is scaling rapidly across Canada and the U.S. We're seeking a Senior Director, Total Rewards & HR Technology to lead enterprise-wide compensation, benefits, and payroll.

This role focuses on strategic Total Rewards leadership, with HR Technology and Analytics providing strong oversight, governance, prioritization, and alignment—not to manage daily system operations or lead technical implementations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead enterprise compensation, benefits, and payroll with a focus on governance, prioritization and enablement for HR Technology & Analytics
  • Lead the design, governance, and ongoing evolution of enterprise compensation and total rewards programs, including job architecture, market pricing, incentive plans, and pay equity practices
  • Provide governance on merit, salary, and incentive modeling assumptions in partnership with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning
  • Lead the assessment of external market data and internal equity to maintain competitive, compliant, and defensible reward structures across Canada and the U.S.
  • Lead the design, governance, and ongoing evolution of enterprise benefits programs, including annual renewals, market reviews, RFPs, and broker performance management
  • Provide executive accountability for payroll outcomes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, internal controls, and risk mitigation across all jurisdictions
  • Oversee vendors and consultants' strategy, contract and performance across compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR technology, including contract negotiations, renewals, and service level performance
  • Sponsor or lead RFPs, implementations, and major program changes, ensuring effective delivery and adoption through teams and partners
  • Serve as executive business owner for HR Technology & Analytics, ensuring enterprise alignment across HR services, operations, workforce programs, data governance, and the employee lifecycle, with delivery led by the Director, HR Technology & Analytics
  • Establish governance, policies, and documentation to ensure consistent, compliant and defensible application of rewards and payroll practices across the organization
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with pay equity, tax, and employment legislation
  • Provide advisory leadership and operational oversight for total rewards, payroll, and HR technology components of M&A integrations, ensuring teams execute required changes effectively
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a multi-layered team including established Directors, Managers and Individual Contributors, with accountability for capacity building and leadership development across Payroll, HR Technology & Analytics, Compensation, and Benefits
  • Lead the design, governance, and ongoing evolution of enterprise compensation and total rewards programs, including job architecture, market pricing, incentive plans, and pay equity practices

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, including senior-level leadership of compensation, benefits, and payroll in complex, multi-jurisdiction environments (Canada and U.S.)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and governing the Total Rewards function, including program design, vendor and consultant management, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience providing shared executive oversight of HR technology, partnering with HRIS, analytics, and IT leaders to enable rewards, payroll, and core HR processes is considered an asset
  • Compensation design, market pricing, payroll governance, benefits strategy, HR systems, and vendor management
  • Strategic thinking, financial acumen, data literacy, influencing, leadership, communication
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach, and mentor a team while driving organizational goals
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive leader with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingualism English and French is considered an asset
  • CCP or CEBS designations are considered an asset
