Position Overview:
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at CFT Group, you'll play a key role in keeping our operation running strong. You'll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a diverse fleet — from loaders and roll-off trucks to trailers and heavy machinery — ensuring every piece of equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to perform.
The pay range for this position is $30-50 per hour depending on skills, experience, and certification(s).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and loaders
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and driveline issues with accuracy and efficiency
- Complete both shop-based and field repairs to minimize downtime
- Conduct inspections and identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns
- Maintain detailed service records and parts documentation
- Operate safely and follow all company policies and procedures
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and in top condition
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment or truck mechanic
- Strong diagnostic skills across diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Valid driver's license is required
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Independent, reliable, and committed to doing it right the first time
