Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team to assist with family and corporate law. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to lawyers by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized case files.

- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while communicating with clients, courts, and other legal professionals.

- Assist in legal drafting by preparing documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence under the supervision of lawyers.

- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness before submission.

- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files to ensure easy access to case materials.

- Support lawyers in trial preparation by compiling evidence and organizing exhibits. - Utilize legal software such as Clio, Realti Online, and other tools as needed.

Qualifications

- Proficient in clerical tasks including data entry, filing, and document management.

- Excellent phone etiquette with strong verbal communication skills.

- Experience in legal drafting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.

- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in proofreading documents.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Experience

  • 1+ year experience as a legal assistant/paralegal required.

  • Paralegal or Legal Assistant Certification is a must.
