New Point Psychotherapy is a Toronto-based mental health practice providing accessible, evidence-informed therapy across Ontario. Our team supports individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and more.

As a growing practice partnered with multiple Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), insurers, and community organizations, New Point is committed to providing high-quality, client-centered care in a supportive, ethical, and collaborative environment.

Role Description

We are seeking experienced psychotherapists to join our roster for a new EAP partnership. This is an
independent contractor
position requiring both
virtual
and
in-person
availability. In-person space can be provided in Toronto as needed.

Clinicians will offer short-term, goal-oriented therapy through the EAP, as well as ongoing care for private and insurance-based clients if desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and/or couples therapy through secure virtual platforms and in-person sessions (location provided).
  • Conduct intake assessments, interpret client needs, and develop appropriate short-term treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based, culturally responsive clinical interventions.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Director and administrative team as needed regarding scheduling, referrals, and client care coordination.
  • Uphold professional, legal, and ethical standards in accordance with Ontario regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree
    in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-master's clinical experience
    providing psychotherapy.
  • Registration in good standing with a recognized Ontario regulatory body (e.g.,
    CRPO
    ,
    OCSWSSW
    ).
  • Experience providing brief/short-term therapy (EAP experience an asset).
  • Strong clinical skills in at least one evidence-based modality (e.g., CBT, DBT-informed, EFT, ACT, trauma-informed practice, motivational interviewing).
  • Comfortable delivering both virtual and in-person sessions; in-person space can be provided.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and an ability to create a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and presenting issues.
