Regional Optical Manager





About the Role

Doctors Vision Group is seeking a Regional Optical Manager to lead optical operations across multiple clinics. You'll elevate patient experience, coach and develop teams, optimise inventory and merchandising, and drive sustainable sales growth—while upholding regulatory and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Leadership: Recruit, train, and coach optical teams; set goals; deliver ongoing feedback and performance improvement.

  • Operational Excellence: Standardise workflows, ensure service consistency, and maintain compliance with optical regulations and privacy standards.

  • Sales & KPIs: Set targets, monitor conversion/capture rates and ASP, analyse trends, and take action to hit goals without compromising care.

  • Inventory & Vendors: Right-size frame/lens assortments, manage ordering and reconciliations, and partner with vendors for timely supply and favourable terms.

  • Patient Experience: Champion a patient-centred culture; resolve escalations; use feedback to improve service.

  • Financial Stewardship: Build/manage budgets; report results with clear insights and next steps.

  • Cross-Functional: Collaborate with Operations, Clinical, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain on initiatives, promotions, and new rollouts.

  • Travel: Visit clinics regularly to support teams and ensure standards are met.

Qualifications
  • 5–7+ years in optical retail/clinic leadership (multi-site strongly preferred).

  • Proven record improving sales KPIs (capture rate, AR coating/premium lens mix, multi-pair) while maintaining top-tier patient care.

  • Strong inventory, merchandising, and vendor management skills.

  • Data-driven decision-maker with solid budgeting and reporting experience.

  • Excellent communicator and coach; comfortable leading change.

  • Licensed Optician (Ontario) an asset; EMR/POS and optical ordering familiarity preferred.

  • Valid driver's licence and ability to travel within Ontario.
