Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the clinic. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounting, payroll, budgeting, and reporting, with strong technical skills in QuickBooks Online and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger, and chart of accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Handle HST/PST filings, remittances, and ensure compliance.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll, reconciliations, and related remittances.
  • Support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Liaise with management and external accountants during audits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial operations.
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Experience in a healthcare, private clinic, or insurance setting is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
  • Sound understanding of financial data management and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
