Sandwich Maker/Cashier

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Duties

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and company recipes.
• Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, to process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all food handling practices comply with health regulations.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to company policies.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food service industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices related to food handling is essential.
