Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in-studio and off-site art events, including guided "paint night" parties for adult groups, corporate events, and workshops.
  • Facilitate engaging virtual art parties as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and patience in teaching settings.
  • Assist with packaging and assembling art kits for large-scale events.
  • Embrace a variety of settings, including unique workshops that may include cannabis-friendly sessions (not often).
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekend evenings and weekend daytime hours (not often).
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio environment before and after events.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience teaching art in workshops, classes, or events (Or believe you would be a great teacher).
  • The ability to multitask
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, initiative, and reliability.
  • Familiarity with, and be comfortable leading groups of all sizes and adapting to diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to take on event setup, teardown, and occasional physical tasks.
  • A strong background in one or more of the following mediums:- Acrylic painting and Mixed media
  • Excellent communication skills and a fast learner
  • Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm

Bonus Skill:

  • Experience in hosting or leading large corporate or social art events (not required, but must be willing to learn).

Additional Information:

  • This is a casual, event-based position with a starting rate of $20/hour.
  • Candidate must be able to work on Saturday evenings and every other Sunday noon/mid-day, no exceptions.
  • Each shift is usually about 4 hours on Sundays and 4-8 hours on Saturdays.
