to find an exceptional
Maintenance Manager
for their Hamilton operations.

This is a chance to step into a

You'll be responsible for leading the maintenance department to ensure plant reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across a fast-paced industrial environment.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on challenges, enjoys leading people, and has a deep technical understanding of heavy equipment, steel manufacturing, or complex industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance supervisors, technicians, and planners.
  • Oversee all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities.
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Partner with production and engineering to optimize performance and ensure reliability.
  • Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets and strategic plans.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment uptime and cost efficiency.
  • Manage vendor relationships, spare parts inventory, and CMMS data accuracy.
  • Foster strong labour relations within a
    unionized environment
    and ensure adherence to collective agreements.
  • Promote a strong culture of
    health, safety, and environmental excellence
    .

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience
    in heavy industrial, steel, or manufacturing settings.
  • Proven track record in
    unionized environments
    .
  • Strong technical understanding of industrial mechanical systems, hydraulics, PLCs, and plant utilities.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, managing budgets, and implementing preventive maintenance systems.
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
