The Aegir Room in the award winning Oswego Hotel is looking for a full-time server. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience from start to finish. Must be able to work some breakfast shifts approx 7:00am-3:00pm as well as evening shifts 2:30pm-10:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables and service stations.
  • Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and communication of orders.
  • Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change accurately.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
