Family Wellness Worker

WOLFE Family Wellness is an Indigenous-led, family-centered healing program rooted in cultural connection, safety, and prevention. Our work focuses on keeping families together by providing wrap-around, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded supports for parents and children in a residential setting.
We believe healing happens best when families heal together.
Position Overview
The Family Wellness Worker is a frontline support role responsible for providing consistent, compassionate care to families during weekday evenings and weekend day/evening shifts. This role supports daily routines, family wellness, safety, and emotional regulation while maintaining a structured and nurturing environment.
We are currently seeking both full-time and part-time Family Wellness Workers who are available to work:
- Weekday evening shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), and
- Weekend day (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) and/or evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, strengths-based support to parents and children during evening and weekend programming as needed
- Support weekday evening routines
- Support weekend daytime activities, family wellness programming, and structured recreation; attend community cultural events
- Maintain a safe, calm, and structured residential environment during all assigned shifts
- Provide parenting support, emotional regulation strategies, and daily living assistance
- Support and participate in cultural activities and family-centered programming when scheduled
- Observe, document, and communicate client progress, concerns, and incidents to the team
- Collaborate closely with the Family Wellness Manager, clinical staff, and cultural supports
- Model healthy boundaries, respectful communication, and trauma-informed care
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Human Services, Social Work, Child & Youth Care, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with families, children, and/or individuals impacted by trauma, addictions, or family separation
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, teachings, and community-based approaches (lived experience welcomed)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm, grounded, and supportive in emotionally complex situations
Requirements
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Valid First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Proof of $2 million personal vehicle liability insurance
- Availability to work:
- Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Weekends: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM and/or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
