Catholic Social Services is currently seeking a Contract Full-time, 40 hours per week, Family and Youth community support worker in EDMONTON to join our Collaborative Service Delivery team. Providing excellent client-centered care, you are confident, thoughtful, and motivated to achieve success when supporting others in your communityThis position has a weekly schedule of: 40 hours per week, Flexible based on the needs of the family. The contract position ends on March 31, 2026.Program Overview:       The Collaborative Service Delivery Program provides high quality supports to children and families directly involved with Children and Youth Services. This position requires workers to teach parenting and communication skills, as well as support and transport children to family visitations. Job Summary:As a Family and Youth community support worker, You are self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a service team. As part of this position there are components of working with families and parents where they are at including:Assisting the family with cleaning, shopping, cooking and navigating the different systems in the communityAssisting indigenous families in accessing elders and traditional knowledge keepers and other culturally appropriate community resourcesMaintain a current and comprehensive awareness of applicable community resources to meet client's specific needs and advocate for clients when appropriateYou are passionate and dedicated to helping families reach their fullest potential by empowering parents and children to seek and foster meaningful relationships and emotional bondsWhat This Job Requires:A diploma/degree in Human Services (or equivalent)A minimum one to two (1-2) years of related experience including knowledge of community resources and family interventionIn-home family support experience is preferred and knowledge of addictions and mental health issues would be an assetYou are organized and excel in time management and have proficient computer skillsStrong relationship building and leadership skillsA Valid class 5 Driver's License and vehicle that enables you to safely transport clients and children in the back seat (Child safety seats will be provided) is requiredDriver's Abstract with less than six (6) demerit points current within one (1) yearPolice Information Check including vulnerable sector search and Children's Service Intervention Record Check must be current within six (6) monthsA reliable Vehicle, Valid Driver's License, Vehicle Registration and Third Party Liability Insurance (amount of two million)Police Information Check including vulnerable sector search, Intervention Record Check and, summary of driving record are conditions of employment and the financial responsibility of the candidate.What We Offer:Annual salary for this position is $48,399.84 to $54,455.04 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
